Oxfam Open 2014 Raises over £700

Oxfam `14 raises £700 for Oxfam's general fund raising

We are delighted to announce that despite having to run the tournamnt twice in one season, the 2014 Oxfam Open has raised in excess of £700. This money will be donated to Oxfam general funds which are used to support all of Oxfam's work as well as allowing Oxfam to respond rapidly to urgent humanitarian situations.
Having settled (we hope) in this new slot we are also very happy to announce that the Oxfam OPen will return in 2015 on 20th & 21st June 2015.

Oxfam Open 2014 - 21st & 22nd June

Raising money for all of Oxfam's work

After raising over £2000 for Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal in 2013, we are happy to announce that the Oxfam Open will be returning in 2014. To avoid the numerous issues and clashes that affected the event last year, we have taken the decision to move the event from December back to its old slot at the end of the season in June. This year's event will, therefore, be taking place on 21st & 22nd June and will once again be at Talybont Sports Centre in Cardiff.

This year, we plan to raise money to support all of Oxfam's great work throughout the world. This means that all the profits will be donated to Oxfam's general fund, to be used as they see fit, as oppossed to a specific appeal.

Over £2000 Raised

Oxfam receives in excess of £4000 thanks to UK Government Scheme

We just wanted to let everyone know that we have now dealt with most of the expenses of the event and we have raised over £2000 for Oxfam. What is more, thanks to a UK Government scheme to double donnations to the Syria Crisis Appeal, more than £4000 has been donated to Oxfam. We will let you know the exact figure once a few final costs have been covered. Thank you for your support

Change of Days

Avoiding clashes with the Hereford and Worcester Open

We realise that the Hereford and Worcester Open has become a staple in many people’s season; unfortunately the organisers of this event have announced that their competition will take place on the same weekend that we had previously advertised.

In order to avoid clashing with the Hereford and Worcester and also avoid moving the date (again) we have decided to rearrange the weekend somewhat. We will now be running our events on the opposite days to the Hereford and Worcester this means the schedule for the weekend is now:
